I wish I could have a video camera on Autumn every single minute of the day! She makes me laugh more than I can count! Of course, when I get the camera out to catch her wit on camera she stops and won't do it again. She loves to sing, especially in the car, and during a song, if the voices start to sing higher, she too will switch to a really high pitch voice to sing...hilarious!

Here are some funny things she has said lately...

- hearing people talk either on the radio or a different room where she can't see them..."I hear 'em....I hear the peoples!!"

- right after she gets dressed or when I ask her if she likes a certain thing, "Sooooo cute, so precious, I like that!" Her new word this week she likes to use a lot is precious!

- after taking a drink of juice out of mommy's cup, "I got a mustache!!" (We have never said anything about a mustache before when drinking!)

I tried to get video of her yesterday. Again, she was reading so animated and knew all the words to a book, so I grabbed the camera half way through and then.....nothing! So I turned the screen her way so she could watch herself read. She would start to say a few words and then realize she was watching herself on camera and bust out into singing "Happy Birthday!" By the way, she is OBSESSED with this song when you want to video her. That is all she wants to sing! So I may start a sing-a-gram business for Autumn to sing Happy Birthday to people since that is all I can get out of her when the camera gets turned on!

Nothing really exciting going on here since we are staying inside trying not to melt! I am getting everything ready for her 2nd birthday in a couple weeks. So stay tuned for some Sesame Street party fun and some adorable pics I captured of her for her 2 year pics!

Today, my wonderful husband spent most of the day in the scorching heat creating this landscape masterpiece!!!

I wish I would have taken a before picture so you could have seen the "white trash" version of it before! Just picture, the right half rocks, the middle was a black tarp and the left side was mulch. Did you picture that hideous eye sore??? Oh, and add weeds in the mix to finish you off! Yeah, I apologize to my neighbors who have looked at it for the past year. The rock was leftover from when we had our pool, but when we sold it, we were stuck with lots of rock and nowhere to put it. So we decided to purchase more and made a rockbed instead of a flowerbed. With the leftover mulch, we combined it with our other flowerbed and added these pretty plants...
So there you have it!!! My sweet husband spent the 4th slaving away in the heat instead of relaxing in a pool, having a cookout, and relaxing on his day off! I'm so blessed!!!

Celebrate Good Times, Come On!

Last night we went to my parents to celebrate my nephew Leif's 2nd birthday and early 4th of July cookout and kiddie pool party! The most exciting thing was that the birthday boy was actually there for his own party!! He didn't make it to his 1st birthday party due to pink eye, but the rest of us partied without him!!

Autumn likes to be a "helper" and feed others when it comes to other people eating around her! Looks like Aunt Carrie became the victim this time around!!

Now that this holiday has come and gone, I realize that Autumn's 2nd birthday is around the corner (sniff, sniff). She is becoming more and more of a big girl and less baby. My how time flies!! I'm going to go and stick toothpicks in my eyelids now, so that I won't blink and she'll be off to school!

I took Autumn to get her first haircut yesterday!! She did amazing and was so excited sitting in the big chair! I think her favorite part was playing with the cape that was covering her!! Haley did a great job!!

22 Months

I can't believe Autumn is only 2 months away from turning 2. I know every mom says it at each stage but I think this is my favorite stage so far!! Now that I'm going to blog more (cross my fingers on that one), I want to document more of what she is doing so I don't forget! She is such a sponge and surprises me with things she has learned and things she says. This month she learned to recognize all her letters and numbers up to 11. She can count to 20, and this month surprised me by counting backwards from 10 by herself.

She is constantly singing from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to sleep. Her favorite song that I hear at least 5 times every hour is ABC's. If she starts singing "Twinkle, Twinkle", she will switch sometimes in the middle of it to ABC's since it's the same tune!!

She LOVES to play and splash in the water, sit and read all her books, give zerberts, and yes, Elmo is still "the man" in our house!

This month we finally retrained her to go to sleep by herself again! With all of her many previous illnesses before, her symptoms would get worse if we let her cry, so it was hard to teach her to go to sleep by herself without any crying. But the key to the easy transition this time was keeping the door open when we leave the room! Now Luke and I have time at night together by ourselves which is great!!!

The last thing this month is Autumn became a big cousin!!! My little nephew Jude was born on the 14th and is handsome as ever, even though Autumn is jealous that he may have more hair than she does! We already love spoiling him rotten!!

I love you so much Autumn and so blessed to be your mommy!

One thing that I like to do is take pics for fun. While with my sis last week, she informed me that she has not taken one single picture this entire pregnancy....she is having the baby this Tuesday people. So, after I scolded her, I told her I would come do a little fun photo shoot so we can have some proof that this baby actually belonged to her!!

Family Vaca!!

So it has only taken me 2 weeks to blog! Baby steps people!! We got to go on our first real vacation as a family to Orlando! Sooooo.... much fun!! This will be a pic post, so I won't bore you too much! We got to go to Sea World 2 days and Gatorland. The rest of the time, we shopped and swam!

Yes, those are real animals, and yes my daughter is fearless and grabbed them with a death grip. They weren't too happy about that!

Madness Monday

So this is how my Monday started....

With blood and an emergency trip to the dentist. I told you our life is getting more exciting!

Early this morning, Autumn was coming to see me and ran right into the corner of our computer desk. Gashed her gum from her tooth up to the top of the gum. Luckily the doctor said her tooth felt good and because the gum is still in place, no stitches. It will just look disgusting for a while. The only thing we need to watch is the color of her tooth to see if nerves were damaged. Praying she won't get a dead tooth! After this, all I have to say is that she is one tough cookie. Crying when it first happened but only lasted a few seconds. While the dr. was checking her out, she was singing on the top of her lungs..."la la la la That's Elmo's world!", his response..."I think she is going to be fine!!" So, how's your Monday?!!

Somebody's watchin me!

Autumn has been a little sponge these past few months. It has been sooooo... fun! She watches everything you do and repeats most everything you say! If she doesn't fully get what you are doing or saying, she does her best to do so. Here are some funny things that she has done or tried to!!

* She watches us get ready in the mornings and one thing she sees is us putting on deodorant. Well now, every time she is up on the counter getting "ready", she grabs our deodorant and puts it behind her and starts rubbing it in her crack! LOL Where she got that deodorant goes up the rear, no clue!!! Have to work on that one!

*While Luke was changing her diaper, she touched the wall and he said it was "texture" on the wall. From then on, she pointed to the wall and says, "Cookie Monster"! I guess she heard monster instead!

*For a long time she has "helped" me every time I go to the bathroom! She loves to go in there with me and explore the cabinets, rip off the toilet paper, and flush for me. After she's done exploring, she gets a bunch of tissue for me, wads it up in her hand and hands it to me! It's been fine so far until the other day when I went to take it from her, and she moved my hand out of the way and tried to wipe me herself! haha Oh dear! Had to stop that one real quick. A little too helpful for mommy.

*She is into numbers BIG time. She loves to count to 20 all day long. A few weeks ago, I was putting her to bed and she looked at the digital clock in her room and said "9!" ummm...yes it is. Then, "5!" Ok smarty! Never knew she recognized numbers, but now she loves to tell time on her clock. During nighttime routine she will occasionally look at the clock and say the numbers. If it changes while she is looking, she says "Whoops! It changed. What is it?" and then will say the new number. I laugh because she repeats those phrases every single time.

Those are all I can think of right now, I know there is more and will be many more! I'm just proud of myself for posting something! Until next time...

Now that I feel like more is happening in my life to actually document about and be able to share with friends and family far away, I will try to keep this up with fun stories and pics. This Mother's Day was by far the best I have ever had. As it is only my 2nd, I can for sure say that since it did not contain a sick crying baby, a failed lunch out which ended in coming home and having chicken nuggets and mac and cheese for lunch!!I had a very blessed day of spending time with my family and going to Yukon to spend the whole day with my mom and siblings. And to top it all off, we actually got a family picture (rare occurence). I got to watch Autumn play in the sprinklers for the first time with her cousins and after watching that HUGE smile and yelps of excitement, I need to go get one! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I will post again later with some fun quotes from Autumn. Until next time...

Man how time flies!!!! It's been forever since I have posted, sorry if anyone is still out there reading or wanting to read about our lives! We have just been busy raising the little one and with the holidays! We got to go to Colorado for Thanksgiving so Luke's family could meet Autumn and we had a blast! She did awesome in the car! I want to post some recent pictures but all of my favorite ones I have to wait (til after X-mas so we don't ruin presents!!!) I promise I will update at the end of the week and post some pictures of our little one!!

Quick prayer request....I went to my dr. for a 1 month post op a couple weeks ago and she said I was still inflamed inside and possibility of infection so I have to go back in 2 weeks to see if it is still inflamed. If so, I will have to be put on antibiotics. Please pray that my body continues and will heal up on its own! Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and to all of you like us, have fun with your baby's 1st Christmas!!!! Love you all! Until next time...

What a week

Well, I haven't really came up with a conclusion, but somehow, some way, I did something wrong and still haven't figured it out. I don't remember breaking any mirrors, walking under a ladder, or opening up an umbrella inside, but apparently I did something to bring bad luck!! I recieved a call this past week from our bank's fraud department asking if we had wired money twice to anybody. Ummmm.....no! So I went online to check it out while on the phone and somehow someone got into our bank account and wired, not $100 or $200, BUT $6,000 out of our checking account to someone in North Carolina. WHAT????? Awesome! So thankfully I was at my parents house when I got the call visiting them and Autumn was napping, so I went straight to the bank and closed out our account and opened a new one. So this past week I have been busy cancelling our credit card, calling everyone to give them our new information, and putting an alert on credit report. The jerks managed to get into our account through Luke's online account to do this, how you ask? That is a great question!!! Luckily we have not had anything else suspicious come up so hopefully this is the only thing that they did. They were able to stop the 2nd wired transaction before it went out, but unable to do the first transaction. We will definitely get our money back which is a blessing! Hopefully they will find this moron and put his rear in jail!

On a good note....we had a good Halloween! Autumn did great in her costume! We went to a fall festival at my parents church to see everyone and to trunk and treat with the cousins! Here is a peek of Autumn, our lil sweet pea!

Now I'm trying to get everything done around the house and packed up to AGAIN move in with my parents for a few days when I have my surgery this week so they can help me take care of Autumn since I don't know how long recovery time will be. They say I can not heavy lift for 4 weeks, so Autumn better slow down and start stretching out so she won't hit the weight limit mark!!! hehe I love my little chunker! Another updated blog post! Holy Cow! I can't believe it myself, and yes it is me updating, I didn't hire someone to do so! We went to Autumn's 2 month check up today and she now weighs 12 lb. 5 oz. (85%) and is 23 in. long (75%). We got a little chunker on our hands! She is nice and healthy! We got the go ahead for her to start sleeping on her belly which she is doing for the first time by herself right now taking a nap and I have to say, it is the greatest thing EVER!!! We have started putting her down awake and making her put herself to sleep for naps and there was great screaming throughout the house for a few minutes and she would wake up every now and then crying, but now on her belly...I put her down and she was out in 2 minutes flat with little fussing cause she wasn't use to being on her belly and I haven't heard a peep in 2 hours!!! Tonight will be our first night to take the very last feeding away and put her down earlier and have her sleep through the night without us going in there til morning. Wish us luck!!! She is actually a really good sleeper so (knock on wood) I hope it isn't a bad transitioning night. Well, hope you all have a great weekend! Until next time...

Well, I met with the dr. and surgery is set for Nov. 6. She can do it laproscopically (sp?) which is good, but the only risk is that since it is so big, she said if she can't see a certain portion of my ovary tissue that she will have to take my ovary as well. So we are praying that she can see what she needs to and only has to take the cyst. She said the cyst does look simple by the pictures, nothing to be suspicious of (cancerous) which is great news! So now, it's time to store up as much milk as I can since I have to do the most depressing thing...pump and dump.

Just a quick update, God is keeping us on our toes and doesn't want things to get boring around here. I went to the doctor today for a final ultrasound to see about my cyst that they had found on my ovary at the beginning of the pregnancy to see if it had shrunk. Well the results were that it actually got bigger and is now 6.7 cm big and now I have to have surgery. The ultrasound tech said the cyst wasn't simple, but not complex, somewhere in the middle (whatever that means!!) I don't know the date yet, I have to meet with the doctor next week to talk about everything. So please keep us in your prayers and I will keep everyone updated! Love to all! Until next time...

Hello to my long lost blogging buddies! Sorry I have been away for 2 months now. As of right now I have a little time to update with some pictures until my little one decides to wake up, which seems like she always has the most perfect timing!! To all of you moms out there with new babies and can still update once a day or even once a week, my hat off to you!!! So, quick update, everything is going great! Autumn is now 11 lb, 2 oz as of this last week when I took her to the dr. She is 7 weeks old today! Yes, that does mean she has gained pretty close to 1 lb a week. (uh oh, I hear noises, go back to sleep!) She has been congested for the past couple of weeks, but Dr. Stephens thinks she is ok, just gave us some nasal spray to drip in her nose to help clear it up. And to let everyone know, we are staying pretty low right now, that is why you have not seen us at church because the flu has gotten so bad and with her congested, we don't want to risk getting around a lot of people. So since we are not out and about a whole lot, here are a few pics of our little chunk!!

Wow...I don't even know how to start this post. It has been the longest, most blessed and stressed week of my life. This post could be a novel but I will just give the highlights of what has been going on since the day Autumn was born. So...here we go!
8/22 - 12:30 a.m. - my water broke while sleeping; 11:46 p.m. - Autumn arrived after 24 hour labor!
8/24 - I noticed my back had been itchy where the bandaid was from my epidural, didn't think anythinig of it until I looked at my back right before we left the hospital and found a small light rash (looked like a heat rash). Nurse said use Cortisone cream 3 times a day
8/25 - Looked at my back due to itchyness and saw that the rash had grown from the middle of my back all the way down to the middle of my bottom (bright red, raised, looked like I got a bad burn). Called dr. who wasn't in office, scheduled to see next day
8/26 - saw dr. who had no clue what it was, either allergic reaction or infection...put on 2 antibiotics
8/27 - went back to dr. rash had not spread, medicine looked like it was working. Dr. said if it spreads I need to go to ER
8/29 - woke up with new spots on my side and back was spreading, went to ER, left Autumn with parents...at the ER, they had 4 different doctors working on my case b/c I had them all stumped about what it could be. Again, allergic reaction or infection? Decided it was an allergic reaction so gave me Prednisone shot and took me off of 1 antibiotic
8/30 - woke up to break out all over my body and rash still spreading, went back to ER...did more tests and blood work and it showed no sign of me fighting an infection so they doubled my steroid shot of Prednisone and gave me strong dosage of Prednisone to take to attack it hard for the next week.

FINALLY, the last two days, the rash has stopped spreading and the redness is getting MUCH lighter!!! The light at the end of the tunnel is coming closer! Thankfully Autumn is the healthiest and most laid back baby, so she has made this situation such a blessing! Unfortunately right now I have to pump and dump because of the medication I am on, so please pray that when this is all over the transitioning back to nursing her will be easy. I want to thank everyone for their calls and prayers during this last week, because Luke and I have definitely felt God beside us. We are staying in Yukon right now with my parents because Luke had to go back to work this week so my parents can help me out when I need them.

Autumn is here!

Just wanted everyone to know our baby girl is here!! Autumn Grace Carnagey arrived at 11:46 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 22, weighing in at 6 lb. 12 oz., 20 in. long. We got home yesterday afternoon and everything is going great! I will update more but just wanted to get in a quick announcement and a link to some pics of her.

Well, I went to the doc today and not much has changed. Still at a 1, but the good thing is the baby has definitely dropped! So....she said she is going to give me one more week, so by next Monday if nothing has happened, then we will more than likely set a date to induce so I don't go past my due date. So please pray that Autumn decides to put the stubbornness asside and come early!!! Another good thing is, she said since I'm doing so well, I only have to check my blood 2 days a week instead of every day!!!! Now I can give my fingers a much needed rest!! Again, not a long post, but just wanted to keep family and friends up to date!! Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Until next time...

Quick update

Just wanted to give a quick update...went to dr. yesterday and she said everything looked good from my specialist visit! Since I'm doing so well, the baby is average size and my glucose levels are doing great, she is just going to let me go natural and not induce!!! This is a HUGE blessing to Luke and I because we did not want to be induced and I want to stay away from Pitocin as much as possible! So praise God everything is going great and Autumn continues to grow normal and healthy!!! I have yet to take pictures so I will try to do that soon and post them! Hope ya'll have a great week! I went to my specialist today and Autumn looks great! She is healthy, measuring great, weighing in at about 5 lb. 12 oz. The doctor said it will be about 3 more weeks, but my OB will give me a date when I go to see her next week. Here are a few sneak peeks of Autumn from today...I think she looks like me when I was a baby from what we could see!

The nursery is now officially done! We got the last things hung up, so all we need now is our baby girl! I will post final pics of the nursery soon after I take pics!

This weekend was a lot of fun! Started off with a good report on my nonstress test and then we got to play our new favorite game, Settlers of Catan, with friends Friday and Saturday night. Then on Sunday, we were blessed by having a baby shower for Autumn. It was a great turnout and we got lots of great things from friends and family! God is so good by blessing us with great Christian people that surround us and love us! Here are a few pics from the shower...

New nephew

Last Monday, my sister had a baby boy! Leif (pronounced Lafe) Coleman Garner was born as healthy as could be!!! Check out the thick hair!

He looks identical to my nephew Finn when he was born...a little freaky! Holding him made me more anxious and excited for Autumn to come! I'm so glad that our babies will be so close together!

Everything is still going good, the only new thing is that I now have to do non-stress tests twice a week up at Mercy hospital until Autumn comes. So that means in the month of July, I will be at the hospital 3 out of the 4 nights (for tests and birthing class)! So if you need me, you know the first place to look! It looks like I have a new home away from home! Maybe they'll let me decorate my own room!!!

I went to see the specialist and came back with a great report! Autumn is measuring right, she is 3 lb 13 oz. They said she is on the smaller side of normal which is good! Not growing too fast! My parents and Luke got to be there in the room with the ultrasound so it was nice to share that experience with them. And to my surprise they did a 4D on her so we could see what she looks like! So, here is a sneak peek of our girl...

They also confirmed that she is still a girl and the Dr. ended on a 4D shot of that area which for my daughter's protection and humiliation later on in life, I will not post it! So, all is well and I will go back on the 28th for another ultrasound to see how she is measuring!

So, it's been a while and we have been running around super busy trying to get stuff done. Quick update on me and Autumn...I met with my dr. and nutritionist last week and they both gave me great reports! They said my glucose levels look great so I just have to keep up with my balanced diet and we should be good. Autumn is measuring great with a strong heartbeat! We will get to see her on Tuesday when I meet with my specialist at Mercy Hospital for special ultrasound to make sure everything is going well and she is healthy, so later in August we can have another ultrasound to check on her to see how big she is getting to determine how early they need to take her. Today we finally got the special project painted in her nursery and I am soooooooo... excited it turned out perfect!!! Here are a few pics of me at 31 weeks and sneak peek at the nursery....

We have just a couple things left to finish up the nursery...hang pics on the blank wall above changing table and find a small bookcase, and then we will be finished!!

We got to go to IKEA for the first time this weekend with some friends and had a great time! I couldn't believe we spent about 4 hours walking around in that store. I LOVE it!!! We went to see if we could find the last stuff for the nursery, and ended up finding a new bedroom suit for our guest bedroom! I love it b/c it is great quality and cheap in price! So the last project to do is redoing our guest room. The furniture that is in there now was my old white furniture that I got back in jr. high so it is about 15 years old. Prego Update

It's a miracle....2 posts in one day!! A quick update on my pregnancy...

I got my test results last week and I unfortunately do have diabetes. I met with my OB-GYN today and will meet with my nutritionist on Wednesday morning. I only gained 2 pounds this month (thank heavens!) and Autumn's heartbeat is nice and strong! I will have to go in every two weeks for appts now to see how my levels are doing. I will have one ultrasound soon with a specialist to see how she is doing and then will have one more before we deliver to check how big Autumn is getting and her positioning to see where we go from there. I am now actually doing quite well with this new adjustment. My dr. has a lot of background in dealing with diabetes and has put my mind at ease. I just can't wait for Wednesday so I can have everything explained to me about what my diet should be. I think so far I have done pretty good balancing out my meals/snacks during the day for right now knowing nothing! That's all I know for right now, I will update later after my visit on Wednesday and will also update on our wonderful trip we just got back from and post pictures! I will leave you with a belly pic of me I just took at 28 weeks. Until next time...

Ups and Downs

This has been a week full of ups and downs. We finally got our pool up and going, not ready yet, but closely finished. Luke is getting our new pump today and installing it so we will not be the annoying loud neighbors that sound like they have a huge swarm of locusts in their back yard (our pump is dying right now). We are planning on it being ready by the time his sister comes into town in 2 weeks!

This week was the dreaded glucose testing week. I took the test on Wednesday morning and felt weird all day long. I got the dreaded phone call yesterday saying that I had failed it and needed to do the 3 hour test. Luckily I had this morning off of work so I could get it done before we leave town. My wonderful husband took off work so he could be there with me since he knew I was stressed. I will get the results hopefully on Monday, so PLEASE pray that everything comes out good. The Lord has His plan and I will praise Him no matter what the outcome is.

Finally on an up note, we are leaving this evening for our last big trip before Autumn comes. We are taking a road trip up to Colorado and Wyoming to visit different family members and to go fishing and camping with his brother. Wish me luck on that one! I already told Luke I don't squat in nature, so there better be a bathroom close by! :) I will have plenty of pictures and stories I'm sure when we get back next week!

Last week was a big week for me! Sunday, I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day in Yukon with my family! Luke gave me framed pictures to put up in the nursery I have been wanting (pics to come soon) and a massage! Friday was Luke and my 5th Anniversary! I can't believe it's already been 5 years! I am so blessed to have Luke! He is a wonderful husband and daddy-to-be! For our anniversary, we went to PF Chang's and then were trying to get something for each other that we could enjoy and ended up getting a Wii! It was a great investment! It is so much fun and you get a workout at the same time (I need all the help in that area that I can get!) Saturday was my official 4 year anniversary at work as well! So big things going on this past week!

Besides that, nothing new is going on really. Autumn is doing great, I feel a future soccer player in training in my belly! I have to do the wonderful glucose test this next week that I have been dreading! Pray all goes well there.

We are getting ready for our last hu-rah trip the first week of June before Autumn gets here. We are driving up to Colorado to spend a couple days each with different family and then driving to Wyoming to see Luke's brother for a couple days, and then make the long drive back home! I'm making reservations for half way there and half way back to stay the night because I don't think my body will let me stay sitting in a car for over 14 hours!
And then the following week Luke's sister and her family from Seattle will be down to visit for a few days to scout out Oklahoma to see if they could move here!!! We are sooooo.... excited for them to come!!

Prayer Request

My niece (on Luke's side) had surgery earlier this year. Olivia has CP and because of her tight muscles her bones have grown in a different way than how they should. So Luke's sister Molly had her start a procedure that would cut both legs and rotate the bones and reattach the muscles so that she would have full range of motion and could hopefully walk better and maybe even without crutches. They only do one leg at a time so she has had one leg done. Post operation she has had a lot of issues and most notably she cannot feel her foot. The Children’s hospital in Seattle kept saying that it would take some time for the nerves to heal. Because Molly is a nurse she took Olivia to a specialist for a second opinion and they are saying that she has damage to her peroneal nerve which will cause her to have to walk in a difficult manner and not be able to do motions like stepping on a gas peddle. They are being referred to a neurosurgeon which is scary for the family and they are approaching the end of the nerve healing window. Please pray that God will work and that she will be able to have full nerve health restored to her leg and foot. This is all very scary for Olivia. She is turning 13 this year and this was supposed to make her more free at a time when freedom and mobility are really important. So we are asking for people to please pray for Olivia and our family during this time. Thanks!

What a weekend! First off, I want everyone to know, that I finally made my plunge into the 21st century. That's right....I signed up for FACEBOOK. Crazy I know, but my coworker guilted me into it! It will take me a while to get use to it, but now you can look for me there as well!

I got to take Friday off of work which was nice! We FINALLY got to close on our refinancing for our house. It ONLY took them 2 months to get done. Feel the sarcasm! So that was nice to finally get finished and start saving money!! After closing I went with Mandy Stansberry to Target to finish up (or really start) registering for Autumn. There are a lot of things out there which I don't know if I really need or just some new thing someone bored decided to invent! It makes a first time mom a little nervous when she goes to an aisle that is completely filled with every type of bottle ever made. How do you choose??? After looking for Autumn stuff we went to the lingerie area to look for me some things I will need when she gets here. We both were squatting to look at something and both ended up falling and sitting on the floor. Which to our convenience felt really good to just sit for a while, so now you have 2 pregnant women lounging back in the middle of the floor in the lingerie section! "Clean up, aisle 13!" After we got our lazy butts up, we decided to go and try out Orange Tree. GOOD HONK! My new favorite dessert place! Seriously gotta go if you haven't yet.

Friday night was date night with my hubby! Went to PF Changs and then to see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.

Saturday, went out with my girlfriends to eat, went back to the Orange Tree!!! and then went maternity shopping! I love Pickles and Ice Cream and seriously think I ended up trying everything in that store, but my thrifty self (and husband) can't think of spending over $60 for just a shirt or pants, but they do have the cutest stuff there. After I dropped the girls off, I went back and looked at Old Navy (on Bryant) to see what things they had on clearance. I couldn't find the maternity clearance and asked and they said it was all mixed in. SERIOUSLY???? How am I suppose to determine which tops are maternity??? They need to do it like the one on Memorial Rd. Needless to say, I left that section and went to look for Autumn some clearance clothes and was successful!! Last night we went out with Luke's old coworker and his gf to see Wolverine. It was pretty good. Not big into action movies, but it had good comedy in it which was nice! The only bad thing is that I think we either ate too much popcorn or something was bad with it, because both Luke and my stomach didn't feel good all last night when we were trying to sleep.

Nice weekend

We had a nice relaxing weekend! For once we had absolutely nothing to do all weekend, so we decided to have a movie watching weekend! Friday night we saw Bedtime Stories (1st half was good, if you know me you know I fell asleep for the 2nd half!). Saturday, we watched 7 pounds, Slumdog Millionaire, and Twilight. I highly recommend these movies. We also saw Yes Man, but there are a few scenes that could have been cut out, so you would be fine skipping that movie!

Sunday was pretty uneventful. Couple of cute things that happened with some kids at church... We were sitting in front of the Mullins, and I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and Corban was smiling at me and said, "Hey Amy, I love you." Talk about melt my heart!! Such a sweet kid! Then the Bialons were sitting a couple rows a head of me and Karli caught my eye and started waving, so I waved back and then she rolled her tongue like a hotdog bun and started sticking it in and out of her mouth! haha So funny and cute! I love kids...they always seem to light up your day!

On a baby note... everything is going great! These past two days have been a total 180 of what I'm use to. I usually have only felt Autumn move once or twice a day before, but starting Saturday afternoon, good honk! I swear she is training to run in the marathon next weekend! I think I need to break it to her that her mom is lazy and not participating!!! The neat thing is since she was kicking so much, Luke got to feel her move around! And now for those of you who are out of town, here is a belly pic that I finally took tonight....

That's right folks....I'm half way there and this week starting to actually look pregnant!! I had a dr. appt. today and Autumn is doing great! The best news is that I finally gained weight! I never thought I would appreciate the phrase, "wow, you've gained 5 lbs.!" I also have finally felt Autumn move a couple times now!! It is so neat! For all the out of town family and friends, I will try to take a belly pic soon and post it.

Not a whole lot has been going on. Just trying to get everything done and ready before August. I did get to go with my sis and nephew to the zoo last Friday. We were watching the bears, and one came down and jumped in the water. To Finn's surprise, he said "I didn't know bears could swim!" Then the bear got out after a while and went next to a tree, got up on his back two feet and started scratching his back for a long time on the branch....again Finn surprised, "I didn't know bears could stand on two feet!" He watched with amazement and then said, "Mom....is that a people bear?" haha (They call the Easter Bunny at the mall a people bunny). We reassured him that it was a real bear and you don't want to get too close to it! I just love kids outlook on life!

Well this will be a busy weekend for us. We have the Fun Run dinner on Friday night, then Saturday morning is the Fun Run (well, for me, Fun Walk!). Of course Sunday will be spent with family for Easter and then BK Sunday night. Whew...getting tired just thinking about it!

Long overdue updated post!!!!! Oooooooh....so close!!!! Don't worry. In less than 2 weeks, we will hopefully be finding out what we are having! I go on the 24th for my ultrasound. So pray that "Buddy" cooperates! So....I noticed that I have not updated for the past 9 weeks. To make things easier, here is a quick bullet list of things that have been going on in our lives and then a picture and quick word from Buddy...

I had a birthday on Feb. 2, so now I'm a lot closer to 30 than 20!
I went to my first and only Thunder game, and got to sit courtside (thanks to Denver!)
My most amazing husband has redone a lot of our house (painted living room & hallway, redid all the wood work and window sills in the house)
We got all of our furniture for the baby's room except for a bookcase
Made 2 birthday cakes for family birthdays (possible pics in the future!)
Got to spend Spring Sing weekend with my chosen in-laws from Colorado!
Refinancing our house (much better interest rates and a lot lower monthly payment now!)

Alright, now you can hear from Buddy....

Well, I'm 16 weeks old, and about 4 inches long right now. I have been treating mom a lot better lately so she can finally eat, but I still like to give her some trouble in the morning when I'm not ready to get up yet. Mom and Dad went to the dr. a couple of weeks ago and got to see me wiggling around in here. They also went yesterday for my routine check-up and got to hear my heartbeat!! The nurse said I'm doing great and very healthy and mom finally gained 2 lbs!! Here is a sneak peek of what I look like right now....

Baby Update

I went to my first appt. today. Everything went well. There was a strong heartbeat and she said the baby or "blob" looks good! We found out that I am only 7 1/2 weeks right now and my due date is Sept. 1st. On a side note, they did find a cyst on one of my ovaries that was about 6 cm. big, so they are going to keep a close eye on it and do an ultrasound every month to make sure it doesn't get any bigger. She is not too concerned about it which is good. I will post pictures and video later since I am fading fast right now. Hope you all have a great weekend! Until next time...

Christmas with a bang!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year apart from the bah hum"bug" that finally hit the last member in my family yesterday. Here is our family Christmas photo this year!

That is right folks...God decided to end our year with a big bang with a Christmas miracle! You wouldn't be surprised if you see the time of this post (4:22 am) and could see me stuffing my face at the moment! Sleep is just not a number 1 thing on my list for some reason after about 4 a.m. now. If all of the handy dandy internet calculators are correct, I am about 8 weeks along and will be due in August. I go to the doctor on the 15th to get the final word on that, so please please please pray that everything is going good so far and that the baby is healthy. It is hard to wait that long to see the first picture and confirm that there really is somebody inside of my stomach that will be in charge of my life for the next 20 years!!

The other great Christmas blessing is that my sister is pregnant as well! She is about 4 weeks ahead of me so Lord willing, we will be pregnant and waddle together! We both told our family on Christmas Eve. Here is a pic of us with my brother's daughter and sister's son and the shirts that we made to tell our family. For some reason Finn wasn't wanting to smile during these pictures when he was cheesing all night.

Well Christmas was going great until 4:00 AM yesterday. I woke up to hear my poor husband in the other bathroom hovering over the toilet. I went to check on him, but he didn't want me to come in so I wouldn't get it. Well....that didn't last long. At 8, it was my turn. So we spent all day yesterday on and hovering the toilet. Merry Christmas! My wonderful brother came by to drop some crackers, soup, and Sprite off at my front porch when he found out we were sick. He called me later to let me know his daughter just started as well. I also got a phone call from my mom saying my dad starting getting sick this morning. Oh boy!!! So this is a warning to all out there....the bah hum"BUG" is out and alive this Christmas holiday. Beware! Well, I'm off to keep myself hydrated. I am feeling somewhat better right now (knock on wood!) Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!! I will post at a later time w/Christmas stories and pictures! Until next time...

Another Awkward/Embarrassing story...why me?

I have no idea why embarrassing things always happen to me at the wrong time, but here we go again...

Yesterday Luke and I made a quick trip down to Dallas and back for a wedding reception for Stephen Robertson. On the way down, I was not feeling good, so we had to stop at 7-11 so I could use the bathroom. The only bathroom they had was a unisex one with a urinal and then a wall with a door beside it for the toilet. I went in, locked the door, but the door into the stall would not lock. After a few minutes someone rattled the door a few times and I heard the click of the lock come undone. I froze, made lots of noise, and it was silent for a few minutes. I thought I was good until I heard the door open, so I hopped up real quick to flush, and then I saw feet underneath the wall and started to hear peeing noise. GREAT!!! Some man is right outside the door using the bathroom. Now I am stuck behind a wall, b/c I DEFINITELY can not go out there until he leaves. He finally leaves the bathroom so I rush out to wash my hands, and as I am, the door opens again, and you will never guess who it was. It was the man's wife and kids. They open the door, stop in shock when they see me, turn and look back out the door at their husband/dad. I'm staring down the entire time trying my hardest to make myself invisible and leave quickly. As I'm walking out the door, the wife reopens the door, looks at the sign on the door, and is yelling something at her husband in a different language. Oh if I knew how to speak in tongues then and to know what was being said!! So folks....moral of story....do NOT use a 7-11 bathroom if it is not an emergency (yet mine was) and NEVER trust the locks on their doors, b/c you will never know who might stop in to join you!

Not a whole lot has happened since I last posted....the only thing that has happened, is that my hair color has changed! I'm now half blonde! Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and an awesome Christmas this week. Until next time...

November Update!

To start off, I'm going to hopefully cheer anyone up who might be having a bad day or just give you an extra smile! Here is my 2 year old nephew's version of "Had a Bad Day!" He's spends a lot of time with his daddy playing Rock Band and Sing Star (PS game with pop songs to sing)

His other favorite song is "Chasing Cars" which he does know the words but the video I took you couldn't hear him very well.

November was a great month! Some key highlights were....I surprised Luke with tickets to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra....AWESOME!!!! If they come back I highly recommend everyone go and see them. You definitly get your moneys worth!

For Thanksgiving, my boss and his wife went to Vienna to see thier daughter, so I got to have the full week off!!! I started with a trip down to Arlington, TX to see my best friend from college and her 5 mth old little girl that I haven't seen yet. Then on Thanksgiving, Luke's brother from Wyoming flew in and spent 4 days with us! We had sooooo... much fun and miss him so much now! We took him to see the James Bond movie and the movie Australia. Again, I highly recommend seeing Australia. It's long, but very good!

The last exciting thing is that we finally got a X-mas tree!! We went from our little 3 foot fiberoptic tree to a nice 9 footer!!! Here is a picture of it in all its glory! Notice that we had to bend the top of it down so it wouldn't hit our ceiling!!!

We finally got all of our X-mas shopping done this weekend!! I just have to finish making the gifts I need to and then it will be all done!!! I hope you all have a great week and a Merry Christmas if I don't update again til then!!! Blessings to all! Until next time...

Funny question of the month...

Last night I went on a Father/Daughter date with my dad since I had to go to Yukon to vote, we ended up going out to eat after to the Rib Crib. Our waitress was a giddy nosey teenager who kept coming over to our table and saying, "You guys are laughing again...what are you talking about?" Which our response was an awkward look at each other and a polite "Nothing", because number 1 it's none of your business and 2nd we didn't want to offend her with what we were talking about!! Well, at the end of the meal, again, she came up and said, "You guys are so cute. How long have you been...(I'm praying inside at this point she won't end the question with the word married) father and daughter?" WHAT???? Did she seriously just ask us how long we have been father and daughter? Again...the awkward look at each other and then my dad's classic response of, "Well.......uhhh....since the day she was born!!" haha Gotta love those stupid questions!!!

The weekend of Luke's 30th birthday in October, we went on a trip to Kansas City, MO for a banquet in honor of one of Luke's father figures who won the "National Childcare Worker of the Year Award" for all Christian Childcare Organizations. Randy is the director of Mountain States Children's Home where Luke grew up at. It was a fun time because all his kids flew in to surprise him at the banquet, so that meant we had to hide from him for a whole day. That was pretty hard when you are staying in the same hotel! At one point, Abby (his daughter) and I were stuck in the hotel gift store while Luke was stuck in the stairwell of the parking garage because Randy came down from his room quicker than we thought!

We had a good Halloween going to a couple of parties! We first went to our class party and then on to Yukon, to see my nephew and spend a little time with my family. My sister was begging me to come because my nephew had been going on and on this past week about seeing "the whoopie cushion". And yes, that is what I was for Halloween! We didn't take any pictures of ourselves, but I was a whoopie cushion and Luke went as Marty McFly (from Back to the Future) Here is a pic of what my costume looked like!

Well, that about sums up the last couple of months for us! Luke is absolutly loving his new job with Cox as an engineer and I am staying busy with my work! Life is going to start getting a little crazier the closer we get to the holidays, but I will try to stay updated as much as I can! Hope you all have a wonderful week! Until next time...

Awkward Moment

So have you ever been in a situation and when someone comes up on the scene you are praying so hard that it's not who you think it is?! Well, here's a great story for ya! We were on our way up to Vail and Luke said he had to go to the bathroom bad, so we pull off on an exit that shows a gas station, but when we get off, there is not a sign to show which way to turn for the gas station. By the way, if you have ever driven through the mountains you know that the gas stations are few and far between. So we look in both directions, see nothing at all and have to take a wild guess which way. So we go right and drive...and drive....and drive...and nothing but houses. So I get on my new handy dandy phone and go to the GPS system and search for gas stations. Not handy at all, so we turn around and start going back toward the interstate. Luke couldn't last that long, so we drove down what looked like a deserted road which had a couple houses on it, but shortly came to a dead end. So we turned around, and as soon as we did, we noticed this at one of the houses...

As you can see, the car is stopped right in front of the driveway so Luke jumped out and took off to use the port-a-potty. As soon as I take this picture, I look up and see a car coming down the road. Yeah, you guessed it...the homeowner. I see him put his blinker on and stop right in front of our car and roll the window down. So I jump into the driver seat to move the car forward and roll my window down. And I pray this will be the only time that I start a conversation with a stranger with, "I'm sorry sir, my husband is using your port-a-potty. We're from Oklahoma and are lost." :) Thankfully he just laughs at me and asks if I wanted directions. Well, I think that's a little too late sir!! What a humbling experience!

This post brought to you Live from Hays, KS! That's right folks, we are on the move for the next week! Our first and only vacation of the year is finally here!! Well, I know I have kept some of you in suspense with the last post. :) The great news is that Luke got a new job!! He will be an engineer for Cox Communications now. He will put his official 2 weeks notice in next Monday when we get back. We are so excited and many prayers have been answered. Thanks to all of you out there for your prayers in the past for Luke's job situation.

Well, we FINALLY got our new car on Thursday night and we absolutly LOVE it!!!! My advice for anyone looking for a new car...look at the Mazda 6. And if you do go by, mention our name!! (had to put in that cheap plug for us!) Here is a picture of the 6...

One of the many awesome things about this car is that we can make it from Edmond to Colorado on one tank of gas!!! How awesome is that!!!

3 Month Update

Well, here we are again folks. Another 3 month delay! Same song, third verse...work is crazy busy for me right now. I have enough time at night to stalk all of you, but don't have time to blog for myself! :) I have a few minutes before I have to leave for a baby shower so I will update you on what has happened in the wonderful Carnagey world!! All of the new stuff has actually happened in the last 2 weeks. First...we got a new pet that we named after Elizabeth because she was so excited and wanted one too, right Elizabeth?!! Here is a picture of her!

This is not the exact picutre as you can see b/c I can not get the picture off of my phone, but this picture looks alot like her! We found her on our front porch this past week just waiting to get inside! Her stay wasn't long since tarantulas are really not my favorite creatures, so after a little jumping and screaming like girls from my husband and myself, he put it underneath the shed of an abandoned house across the street from the Mullins! Just ask Elizabeth how she is sleeping now after seeing our new pet!! :)

Another new thing we got was a new car! We traded in our Jeep Liberty for a new Mazda 6 which gets twice the gas mileage now! You may ask, why haven't I seen it yet? Well, we are asking the very same question! We bought it over a week ago and still are waiting for the car to come in that we ordered. We called everyday last week and when we asked when it would be here, the answer would be, "Tomorrow." and "tomorrow" came and "tomorrow" went. Supposedly it will be Monday (tomorrow) when we will finally get it. I knew my mom was right when she said never trust a car salesman!! Learned my lesson now!

We have one more new thing going on, but you will have to check back later in the week to find out since it is not final right now!! (I love keeping people in suspense!)

Luke and I will be taking our only vacation this year on Friday!!! It is a surprise 30th Birthday trip for Luke that I have had planned for the last 4 months. I can not give you the details right now since I don't know if any eyes will be looking at this or not, but when we get back, I will post lots of pictures!

Good honk! "Amy, you are a horrible blogger!" There, I said it for you!!! If you want to discuss this issue more, you can leave me a comment!! For some reason it is hard for me to sit down and focus to update. So...I guess monthly updates are what I'm best at right now! So for the month of May....

Luke and I had our 4th year Anniversary!

My parents also had their 35th Anniversary so we took them to the Melting Pot for a surprise celebration!!

In June, I got to be a counselor at the camp that I grew up at. I have been gone for 3 years, so it was good to be back! I had the high school girls in my cabin and had the awesome experience of studying with 2 of them who became Christians!! It was a great spiritual refresher as well for me! Here is a pic of my girls!!!

Wow...now wasn't that a short 2 month update! As you can see, we live a pretty boring life around here right now! Work is insanely busy for me right now since this is our second week to be paperless. Talk about stress! Whose idea was it to go green again?!

Moms and prayers

Look at me!!! 2nd time in a month!! Watch out! Well, we had a good mother's day this year. We went to Yukon for the weekend to spend it with my mom and family. It was nice having my entire family at church!! Doesn't happen often even though we all live 30 min. away from each other!! Since I'm the only non-mom, I guess they decided that I had to plan things to do. Uh....no! So I put it right back on them and made them choose where we were going to eat. All in all it was a good day! I hope all you out there had a great Mother's Day since I think everyone out there is now a mom or mom-to-be!
Now on to some recent stuff this week and side note prayer request. This past Friday, Luke started to notice that the tip of his tongue started to go numb. Not a big deal to mention anything to me. Well, as the day went on, he realized that the lower right part of his lip started to go numb as well, which he then mentioned to me. The next day, the right bottom jaw was numb he noticed when he was brushing his teeth. So on Sunday I mentioned it to one of my friends who is a dentist in Yukon about it and he said it might be a wisdom tooth hitting a nerve, but he needs to go have it checked out. So Monday morning he goes to our dentist and talks to him about it, but refers him to see an oral surgeon, but they can't get him in until next Monday. We thought that would probably be fine, until during the morning on Monday, he noticed that now half of his tongue started going numb. Oh boy! So I got on the phone, made some phone calls...get R done! He ended up going to see another oral surgeon yesterday morning. They ran x-rays and did other things that tooth dr.'s do and couldn't find a cause for the numbness...everything looked fine mouth wise. So, they sent him to our PCP who did 5 different blood tests on him, other "brain tests", and are sending him to go have a MRI/CT Scan done. Our PCP doesn't think it is anything really huge, but at the same time doesn't want to rule anything out without tests being done. So...now comes your part with us!! Please pray for Luke and ask God that we can find a cause for this and that there is a cure, hopefully minimal!! Thank you in advance and I will keep you posted on what we find out! To my loyal readers, I apologize for the long silence. (Like you haven't heard that apology before!) So lets catch up! We have continued to do some remodeling at our house. We just got done with our office/future nursery. We had a door that went from the house into the garage through one of our bedrooms. Weird I know, but the people before us thought that was a great feature. Yeah I guess....especially for your kids who are so eager to "go to bed" early to see what trouble they could get into! So we walled up the door, painted a new color, and moved our office desk and computer out into the living room area which we love now! My husband is quite the handyman! Can't even tell there was a door there!! See photos below...

Life at work has been a little crazy. We are shorthanded at the moment, so it makes it a little busier, which I like, but makes me exhausted by the end of the day. We are also trying to go paperless at our office. I thought it was so awesome at first, but now getting farther into it, going green is not as easy as you think! At least we'll make those tree huggers happy!

Some other great news is that our car has become officially ours as of tonight @ 7:25 p.m.! We paid the rest of our loan off!! It's nice when you can turn a 6 year loan into a 2 year loan!! God is good! And if my calculations are correct, we will pay off our jeep by the end of this year and be debt free!!! Well, except for the lifetime mortgage loan! I think they should go ahead and just call it a lifetime loan!! Makes more since!

Catching up

Well, I've been stalling on posting until I can put up pics with my post, but I still have no pics so I decided to go ahead and write before it turns into another 2 months. Last weekend we took my brother, sis in-law, and my niece bowling (pics I'm waiting on). We had a lot of fun and it was the most important day in bowling history!! That's right folks...Amy Carnagey FINALLY scored over 100 points WITHOUT bumpers!!! It's ok, I can give you my autograph and some pointers later when you see me! :)
This week has been good as well. We got brand new windows all throughout our house with a new sliding back door. Thanks to Champion windows, the Mullins for the referral, and Uncle Sam/Mr. President for the money!!! I would highly recommend these windows to everyone! Even though our house is torn up and blinds scattered in all different rooms, it is well worth it. I think we might go ahead and paint our other two bedrooms now since everything is already moved away from the walls! So more remodeling in the Carnagey house! Woohooo! OH...quick funny story about installing the windows...my 2 yr. old nephew and sister were here with me when they were installing the windows and Finn looked out the window and saw one of the men smoking. He came running into the room and said, "Mommy, Aunt Amy, that man is having a birthday and he is eating it too!" Thinking he was eating a birthday candle, we both busted out laughing! I love little kids' perception on life!
Today we went and did the Mike McDonald Fun Run this morning. Due to my crippledness, Luke and I just did a fast pace 3 mile walk. And good honk it was freezing out there with that wind. I wore shorts thinking that by the time we got started I would warm up. God had a different plan of freezing me and numbing my legs to the point that I couldn't feel them anymore so it seemed bearable. It was good to see Kathy and all of the McDonald kids again!

Good afternoon loyal blog readers or stockers!!! I come with a BIG prayer request for Luke and I. As I have mentioned before, Luke's work is going through a reorganization time. Which in other words mean laying off employees. The time has come down to Luke's level of employees. All the managers and big wigs have already been moved. So today and this weekend we ask if you could please keep us in your prayers. Luke will find out Monday if he still has a job. If he does get canned, then his last day will be on Friday the 28th. Right now, Luke really has no idea where he stands. I know God is good and no matter what, he will provide and take care of us, but at the same time, I've been in a zone lately and I'm trying really hard to have a peace of mind about it all. It's been a couple of weeks since I last posted....sorry! Our life isn't as exciting as all of our friends who have kids or expecting, so it's hard to write something interesting happening in our lives daily!! Well, I don't have pics on this computer, but I will edit later and put in some pics of my nephew Finn's 2nd birthday party we had last weekend. For his gift, we took him to see Sesame Street Live with Elmo!!! We didn't know for sure how he would react to "big creatures", but he LOVED them!! And on a side note, I really enjoyed myself as well!! We will have to keep that in mind when we have kids! It was a fun environment! His Cookie Monster birthday party was fun as well. But word to the wise...always watch your kids when you tell them to blow out the candle. Finn thought blowing meant eating! He had his whole mouth around the flame about to bite down when we all yelled and Amber grabbed him and pulled him back! Close call!
Well other than that, not much more has been going on besides work. Speaking of work...please keep Luke in your prayers. Sprint (who he works for) seems like they are in a rocky spot. The rumors we have heard aren't the best and he's stressed and nervous about it all, so please keep him in your prayers. I hope you all have a great week filled with God's blessings! That's right folks! The Carnagey's are going on 2 weeks of full health!! (knock on wood) This past week was our first Sunday in over a month to go to bible class and church! I felt like we needed to go forward and place membership again! It has been waaaaay too long. But it was awesome to see everyone again and not feel like you had to wear a mask and yell "Unclean!" as we were walking down the hall! This post may get a little long, so I apologize in advance, but we had a great weekend full of surprises and remodeling, so if you like picture books, there will be pictures to go along!!!

First off, before you get too bored, I have to share crazy story about my sister's 30th surprise party I threw this past weekend for her. To make a long story short (sorta)...I had talked to my bro-in-law about setting up a surprise party at Johnny Carino's (one of the only restaraunts that has a side room these days) and the choices were in Yukon for lunch or Edmond for dinner. Lunch it is!!! So, master plan everyone there at 11:45, birthday girl there at noon. So everyone shows up, noon rolls around, no sister. 12:05.....12:10...12:15...no sister. Call Ben....no answer. Sister's friend calls Ben, he does answer and she hands me the phone. Conversation: Me: "What's going on?" Ben: "I'm in Edmond, where are you?" Me: "And I'm in Yukon, oh boy!" So he's mad now, my stomach is in a knot, and the plan is busted....so we think. But thanks to my wonderful sister, when Ben got back to their table from "using the restroom and making a call" she asks, "Was that a page from work?" And he replys. "Yes....yes it was....and we have to go." (what a genius!!) Ben works in the medical field by the way and is the manager over nurses at Deaconess Hospital. So they leave and he makes this nice big story up about something that happened and now he needs to take care of it. But by the time they reach Yukon, like any other great man, he decides that they can go ahead and eat at Johnny Carino's in Yukon and then take care of business!! :) The thing is that all of us think have no clue and think the plan is busted until she walks in and is in complete shock when we yell "Surprise"!!! So moral of story....always confirm the plan that day! Here is a picture of the cake that Katie Rowten helped me make for the party....like stated before from many others....she's a genius at cake making!!!

Now on to remodeling pictures...This past weekend, Luke and I bought a new bedspread, repainted our room, and refinished the wood work which made a HUGE difference in looks. My wonderful husband spent all day Friday (his day off) and started priming the walls and refinishing the wood. Then we spent all Saturday evening and Sunday painting. What a week!! Last week I was out all week from work dealing with a 102 fever for 5 days, having an allergic reaction to my antibiotics, and my body deciding for a day that it would not hold any food in. I've been feeling a lot better, but still have congestion in my chest and head. And now, this past weekend Luke started to get a fever and congestion and went to the dr. yesterday and was diagnosed with the flu. Oh boy! Round two, ding ding ding. So the dr. has him and me both on flu medication (along with the medication I am already taking) since he is contagious. He now has to stay home for the 2nd week in a row. He was such a sweet husband and stayed home with me 3 of the 5 days last week since I was pretty much useless! So please say a prayer for both of us that we can get back to feeling 100% healthy and normal since we are going on 3 weeks now of continual sickness from one bug or another. Since Luke is on "lockdown", we are going to have a nice, noncontact, relaxing night tonight!! It's hard on V-day to not be able to kiss the one you love, having to wash your hands every time you touch him, and have to sleep for the third night in a row on the couch!!! So, I hope you all have a V-day full of hugs and kisses with your spouse!!!! Until next time...

Well, the bugs are attracted to me. I woke up on Saturday to a sore throat, cough, and fever. Happy Birthday to me! So my birthday was spent laying down as much as possible, heading to Yukon to have lunch with my family, and then going over to their house afterwards to sleep. So our fun birthday bowling plans got put on hold. It is now day 3 of fever over 100, with a VERY sore throat, horrible cough, and now congestion. I went to the dr. today and he thought it was the flu, but the test came out negative. He is confused on what I do have since both sets of glands for viral and bacterial were really swollen. So now I am on antibiotics and have to stay home until I can kick this fever to go back to work. Lucky me! I miss everyone, since it seems like FOREVER since I have spent real quality time with my friends due to being out of town for two weeks and now sickness. Again, thanks Elizabeth for the yummy supper you made us on Friday...sorry we had to eat and run! Love to all. Until next time....

Well, today was my g-pa's funeral which was sad, but uplifting and it was nice to see all of my family. I am feeling better now (thank goodness), but Luke started to feel bad at the funeral and on our way home, he started throwing up in the car. Not cool! So, now it's my turn to take care of him!! So everyone beware of the Carnagey household! Hold your breath if you come anywhere near by! Hopefully this will only be a 24-48 hour thing like mine was. So please keep us in your prayers.

Well, since it has been over 2 months since I have updated, I don't know if anyone will remember me!!! I've had people get on to me for not updating in forever, so I finally have some time to do so....here we go!!! Last 2 months in short....

Thanksgiving we went to Idaho to see Luke's grandma. Since I am unable to take off work during the Christmas season, Thanksgiving is our time to get a way to see Luke's family. We had a great time stuffing ourselves and we actually got to Idaho and back on time,

which we thought was a HUGE shock if you know our traveling history!!! Here are a couple pictures of our trip.

Then we are skipping a whole month to Christmas. We had a wonderful holiday with my family. This was the year that both my niece and nephew enjoyed opening up gifts and enjoyed what they got, not just the box and tissue paper inside!!! For Christmas I got a new camera (Canon Rebel XTi) from my hubby and absolutely loving it!!!!

Besides the holidays, our life these past 2 months have been about the same during the week...work, eat, sleep! Fridays, we are doing DC4K which we love! Those kids brighten up our day everytime we get to spend time with them!

On a different note, please continue to keep my family in your prayers. I got a phone call late Thursday night that my grandpa (my dad's dad) passed away suddenly. Even though he was 94, he

was still in good health. It will be sad to never be able to get to go to Grandpa's Farm again. The hard thing for me right now is that I am here suppose to be with my family, but thanks to food poisoning, I am stuck here in the hotel room with my hubby as the rest of my family are together. I am actually feeling somewhat better than earlier today, but still go back and forth. I pray that I will be feeling good for Monday to go to the funeral.

I know I say life has been busy everytime I have posted it seems, but lately, life has been busy and HECTIC! The busy part was last week, but the hectic part was yesterday! This past weekend we went up to Fairland, OK (farmtown of 600) and celebrated my grandpa's 94th birthday. It was also a family reunion, so it was nice to see all of my cousins as well. My brother got a condo that his work owns out on Grand Lake so all of my family could stay there and had a wonderful time! The trees were turned every color which made an awesome background for pictures, so I ended up taking over 400 pictures! You can see some of them in the link to the right!
Then yesterday happened....
My dad had come by my work on Wed. to ask if he could come over to my house on Thur. and cut down the two trees that we have been meaning to do for a while. I agreed and told him I would check on him at lunch. Well, right before I left for lunch the girls said that he called and I need to call him back. He told me to not leave that he was almost there. When he pulled up he smiled and asked if I could follow him to the dr. office down the street to have his ankle x-rayed. WHAT?? He said he was on the last big branch on the first tree and when it fell, it sprung back up and hit him off balance where he fell 8-10 feet and landed on his ankle. Later he told me that when he sat up, his ankle was off to the side, but popped right back into place so he thought it was ok to hop on one foot and drive to my work. Crazy man. Well, when we got to the dr. office, he didn't realize that you couldn't just walk in to get an x-ray, so we had to go to the ER. So I made him scoot over and drove him to Edmond Hospital. While we were waiting to go back, he suddenly started to get hot and light headed. I went to ask a nurse for a wet wash cloth, and when I came back he told me, "I'm going down." I started to yell for a nurse to help, and by the time the nurse came out to the waiting room, he passed out. Luckily I had put him in a wheel chair to begin with. I wouldn't have been so scared until he started to make weird moans and noises and then started what seemed like to me, convulsing. I was yelling Daddy the entire time trying to get him to wake up. I knew in my mind he was having a stroke or something. Another nurse came out to help b/c we couldn't get his legs up in the wheel chair to take him back. He finally came to when we were wheeling him into the room. They said he was ok, it was just due to him being in shock. Also, it was miraculous that his ankle ended up not being broken. The dr. said he would have bet his whole pay check on it that it was broken, there was no way it couldn't be by the look of it! I should have took him up on that! They said it was a sprain and he probably tore most of the tendons/ligaments in his ankle. So he is now on crutches for a couple weeks. Well, since last time I wrote, a lot has happened, including my husband turning 1 year closer to 30! Work has been going great! We actually recently hired 2 new people! See Melody, it takes two to fill your position!! hehe One girl has already started and one more will start the first of November.
We have also been visiting my parents and catching up with them this past weekend. They just got back from visiting my family in Guatemala for the past 2 weeks. Yes, that's right, I am hispanic even though I look albino!! My grandma was born and raised in Guatemala. Everybody except her have the "dark genes" all nice and tan, and then there is my family!! We actually surprised them on Friday night for a visit and my sister's little boy Finn was there spending the night with them. He has grown a lot and talking up a storm. Here is a video clip to share for those of you who know my sister!!

Like I mentioned before, it was also Luke's birthday last weekend and since I was not in town last weekend along with my parents, we celebrated his birthday last night with my family. I wanted to make him a birthday cake, so Katie Rowten and I got together on Thursday night and made him a birthday cake. It only took us 5 hours to do it!! haha Go Broncos! We went out to Hideaway Pizza and then back to our place for cake and ice cream!!

Today was just a nice day of relaxing when we could and also, well, first before I say this I will tell you, no I am not pregnant. haha But today we did go over to my brothers house and get a baby crib that was my niece's. They have recently moved back from Phoenix and are trying to get rid of all their extra furniture and everything else. Busy month is almost over!

Oh shoot....I just typed my post and accidently hit the back button, so now I have to redo this...Well, this crazy busy month is almost over! We have yet to spend one weekend at home this past month, so I'm a little ready for another month to come along. Last week we got to go down to Quartz Mountain Resort for a couple's retreat with my church from back home. What a blessing it was for our marriage! Our marriage will never be the same (for the good!). One fun thing was all the wives got their husbands a gift without them knowing and we put them all together, and the husbands had to go pick out which present he thought was his. Of course Luke picked his present out really quick since they put it up on a hanger above all the gifts. (I got him a nice Denver Broncos polo).
This weekend we are busy with Day in the City today and also my best friend/roommate through college is in town with her husband staying with us. Day in the City went well for us; we went to the Oklahoma City Rescue Mission to help out with their "pantry". I put that in quotes because when we got there, it was actually a warehouse that everything was in bulk and we had to rearrange it all and take inventory. So I definitely got my workout for the weekend and will be quite sore all over! The neat thing is that some of the homeless that live there helped us out.
Work has been crazy lately due to one of the girls being sick and then Melody could only work part time due to her pregnancy. And I just got word that she just got put on permanent bed rest until the baby comes because she is already having contractions regularly and starting to dilate. She is not due until the middle of December so please keep her and her baby girl in your prayers. Also please pray that we can find someone to replace her at work because our work is hectic with only 2 of us there. Well, this is getting long, so I will stop here. Another busy weekend in the Carnagey household!! Friday night I went to a DC4K meeting after work, which I am totally pumped for!! (Luke didn't go since he's sick) Yesterday, I was determined to get Luke out of bed and get him up and around to help him feel better, so we went to eat breakfast/lunch at Jimmy's Egg. The whole time we were there he said that the room was spinning. So we made a quick trip to Wal-Mart for a couple of things and came back home where he took a 2 hour nap. That hour up wore him out. So, I don't think my goal was achieved! Needless to say, I think he is going back to the dr. on Monday. Last night was my dad's birthday party in Yukon which was a lot of fun! And for today, we are going to try to make it to church, depending on how long Luke can last, and then I'm going to Yukon this evening to spend the night with my parents. Tomorrow, I am headed to Lewisville, TX for Tony Hall's funeral. Tony was an amazing Christian man. Growing up, I went to the camp that he was the director for and later was a counselor for him after high school. Through this life here on earth, we all have those that we look up to and know that we can follow in thier footsteps because they imitate Christ (1 Cor. 11:1). Tony was one of those people for me. He lived everyday like it was his last. He was ready for the day that he could spend eternity with his Savior. God bless Tony Hall! I ask that you all pray for his family that he leaves behind. His wife Jill, and 2 little girls who are 7 and 4.

Where to start?!

Well, since the last time I posted a lot has happened. Yes we FINALLY made it to Seattle and had a great time with Luke's sister and her family. You can check out our trip in my pictures. We got to play with their Wii (so awesome!), go to the Seattle Aquarium, the beach, the Pike Place Market, be there for the kids first day of school...(Bella's very first day of kindergarten!), and I also got to meet Luke's mom for the first time. It was very eventful and TONS of fun! It was hard to leave. Of course there was excitement on our plane ride home as well when we were half way to Salt Lake City, the flight attendant came over the speaker and asked if there was a Dr. on board to make their presence known....no response. Then if there was any medical personnel or nurse...no response. So we thought there was someone in first class that was going to die with no help. Luckily that person was fine and we had a relaxing rest of the flight.
This past weekend, Luke and I parted separate ways to join each of our families. I went to Yukon for my mom's side family reunion and to work on scrapbook stuff with my sister. Luke went to Tulsa, where his family from Colorado was visiting and they went to Grand Lake for a day. When we got back on Sunday, we went straight to BK group and had a good time with our friends.
After this was all said and done, Luke started to feel sick yesterday morning, and woke up this morning talking about 2 octaves lower than normal! He went to the Dr. and found out he has a sinus infection, and a bronchial infection that could be strep. So we are taking it easy and I'm trying not to breath much around him!!

Tears and Laughter

Well, I am writing this post in the Dallas/FW airport. it is 5:00 p.m. right now and waiting for our flight at 8:50. Seriously. We are trying to make it to Seattle to go see Luke's sister and her family, but for some reason everything is going against us. We had an hour delay in OKC which they said would make us miss our connecting flight to Seattle, so they took our boarding passes and switched them to another airline which would only put us an hour behind. When we got here, we realized we could have made our original connecting flight, but went to the new gate where they started to board when we arrived. In the middle of boarding, the captain came out and said there was a problem with the plane so we would have to stop boarding and everyone would have to get off the plane. Well, after almost an hour wait, they came back and said our flight was cancelled due to a bird hitting the plane in the previous flight which broke some part of the plane which they could not fix at this time. So all 60 passengers ran off to the ticket counter. When we got to the front of the line, they told us all direct flights for today were full, but we could either go through Oakland or if we ran, we could make a connecting flight to Portland that left in about 10 min. in a different terminal. So, with all of our bags in hand (we did not check any bags in) we took off running. By the time we got to the train stop, there was a sign that said the next train for that terminal would be 8 min. So, with our heads hung low, our backs hurting, we went back to the ticket counter and explained the situation. By this time, I'm in tears. The lady was sooo... sweet and got us first class tickets for a flight going out tonight with food vouchers. To make the day even better, as we went back through security, they looked at our boarding passes and said, "Congratulations, you have been selected to have additional screening, please step to the side." At this point I just started laughing. So, now we are at our gate with a 4 hour delay! The neat thing is that we made some friends with a family who was kind of in the same situation. Well, this is getting really long so I will stop here. I will update later in our trip if I have time. Have a good and safe Labor Day, until next time....

Tea for Three!

This weekend was nice and relaxing. My boss has been out of town, so I got to have all day Friday off!!! It was girls day!! My two close friends from back home Grace and Angie hit the town!! We first went for lunch at Inspirations Tea Room. I was a little curious about this whole tea room to begin with, little too "fru fru" (sp?) for me, but when we got there, we were greeted by a lady whose hair literally stood a foot above her head. Now I know those of you who have been there know EXACTLY who I am talking about. Anyways...when they brought our food out to us I was amazed by the enormous size of sandwiches they had (picture on right...yes, that thing beside the canteloupe!) I for sure didn't think that Angie would finish her sandwich due to the size. But she pulled through!! Needless to say, it was an experience I won't forget!! We did have a good time, and afterwards, we went "shopping". I put that in quotes because everywhere we went, they would find something, carry it around the whole time, and as soon as we were leaving, they both would put what they got back on the shelf! So we saved a lot of money!!!

Today was also nice and relaxing since my boss won't be in til tomorrow, so we didn't see any patients today. Made for a good quiet Monday!! The most scariest thing happened on my way home from work though. I was at a stop light and a boy on a bicycle was going across the intersection right in front of me and the car to my left did not see him coming and when her turn signal light turned green, she took off and hit the boy on the bike. I screamed and so did the girl in the car to the right b/c we both saw what was happening and couldn't stop it. Luckily, the boy was ok, just shookin up, and went on his way. So, moral of the story....ALWAYS look both ways before you cross the street in the car! Well, gotta go finish supper! Oh Canada!

Sunday night, Luke and I got an awesome surprise. When Luke was 14, he started going to Canada for a mission trip in the summer. He went for about 12 years, so he sort of grew up with some of the kids in Canada. Well, on Sunday night, we had a knock on the door. I knew whoever it was drove a motorcycle (don't know anyone who has a motorcycle), and when I looked through the peep hole, I had no clue who it was, so I ran and got Luke. He didn't recognize him either from the peep hole until he opened the door and yelled "HEY" and gave him a big hug. Ok...so now my husband is hugging some random guy who has a bandana on and drives a motorcycle!! Well, it turns out to be Tim, who is one of the kids from Canada who on a whim decided to come here to go to OC with his younger sister. How cool is that!!! So we went out with him until about 11 that night!!! So much fun! Here is a picture of Luke with Tim, his sister on both sides of Luke, and then Luke's sister Abby, and Jennifer also from Colorado!!

Today was a great day!!! Luke found out that he got a raise today at work which we have been waiting for. So tonight, we went and celebrated at Red Lobster!! Boy was it good!!! Now we are busy redoing our budget and figuring out how long it will take us now to pay off debt. It's lookin good for the home team!! :)

We also had a fun night last night. We were heathens and went to watch the Redhawks play with the Awtry's! And as you can see from the pic to the right, it was hard to find our seats because the stadium was sooo... packed! The Redhawks did pull through and win. It was a fun game to watch...(a lot better than men's fastpitch softball! hehe) So thanks again to the Awtry's!

Also, this past week, Luke had an encounter with the queen of the killer bees. He told me it was big before he showed me, but I didn't realize it was THAT big. Good honk! I'm glad that he won the battle! Here are a couple pics of Luke and the Queen!

I know it's been a while, sorry to my loyal readers! Life has been crazy and stressful. A lot has happened since last time I wrote. One big thing....we thought we were going to have an oops! (pregnant). But after a stressful waiting period, we got the results back and were negative. The good thing that came out of it is that we now know we are a little closer to being ready when that time does comes! Life at work has been very busy for both Luke and I. We both have had some late nights this past week. But I would rather be busy at work rather than be sitting there bored having nothing to do.
This weekend has been busy as well. This morning I had a baby shower for Kaison Hobbs and I went straight from there to Yukon for a wedding at 2 which I was the guest book person. I finally got home at 5 and got to relax and swim for a little while. Tomorrow we have Brother's Keepers at our house, so we need to spot clean our house and get all the food ready for that. The good thing is that we don't have that much to clean since we did a lot of that last weekend. And also if you know my husband you would know why it's not that dirty!! :) haha
Luke had a great day today as well. He went over to a friends house early this morning and watched both of the first Bourne movies, and then went to the theater to watch Bourne Ultimatum. It is a really good movie! I would recommend it if you haven't seen it yet. Well, this post is getting long, so I will close. I promise to do better in the future of updating!!! Until next time...

Well, not a lot going on here. Our pool is up and running, so we have been swimming A LOT!! We swam all weekend and got to experience my nephew swim for the first time! There are some pictures in my link of his experience! Little hesitant at first, but by the end he was splashing around and laying on his stomach tryin to swim. What a week

Well, it has been a busy, fun, sick kind of week. Friday night and all day Saturday I spent working on baby gifts and a baby book for Kristy's shower, which personally I think turned out awesome!!! Sunday, we had church and then Kristy's baby shower that afternoon, and I wasn't feeling very good that evening. I woke up Monday feeling miserable, couldn't breath out of my nose, my lymph nodes were swollen so much you could actually see them, and my ears were bothering me, so of course on my day off, I spent part of it at the dr. Ends up I have a throat infection, oh boy!! So now takin medicine for 10 days, but I'm feeling ok right now. At work, it's been pretty good. Boss is out of the office all week, which means, we get to clean the office!! So the last 2 days I've been a cleanin machine! OH! Before I forget, our pool is actually clear now!!! After about 20 something pounds of shock, it finally killed the algae and now is almost ready to swim in again! We plan on swimming a lot Saturday to get our moneys worth!! So, if it's sunny and you are hot, come on over and take a dip with us!! Well, I'm going to put a few new pics up on my link and hit the hay (yes I know it is only 7:20!). Been a While

Well, it has been a while since I have updated. Not a lot of things have happened. Just really busy at work this week. We are also trying to fix our pool. It has been green ever since the big rain. After an overall total of 22 lbs of shock, 32 oz. of algae killer, putting new sand in our sand filter, it has yet to become clear. Last night, Luke got brave and got in the pool to vacuum it out really well and scrub the bottom again. We are now waiting for results. We asked the pool guys about it and they said we have to keep shocking it till it kills the algae. So we are watching closely and keep adding shock. So pray that soon it will become clear again so we can actually enjoy it this summer since we have put so much money into it.
This is also a long weekend for us. My boss is out of the office all next week, so each of us are taking a day off next week and I chose Monday so I can have a nice long weekend, and Luke decided to take it off too. So we are planning on a nice relaxing long weekend with hopefully no falls, busted windshields or flat tires!!! :) Hope you all have a great weekend! Until next time...

USA Softball and BK

This weekend is full of fun events going on. We got a call early Saturday morning from Kevin who works with Luke who had tickets to the USA softball tournament, so we decided to go at the 3:00 game which was USA vs. Japan. We were so excited since I love watching it on TV and have wanted to see a game in person. Before we went to the game, we went to see the new Harry Potter movie which was really good. As we made our way into the stands at the game and took our seats, something didn't feel right. As we looked closer at the field we noticed that the players were not of the female gender. The teams however were USA and Japan. We got our tickets out and looked a little bit closer at them and realized that our game was marked ACS and not World Cup. Who knew that there was a mens fastpitch softball national team? Even though it wasn't the women's team, we still had a good time. I did get to see the USA women's team from a far as they were getting out of their bus. Here are a few pics I took, and always remember to read the fine print!!

After the game we went over to Scott and Rachael's house for BK groups for dinner and games. We had a great time and got to know each other better by using toilet paper!! (number of sheets, number of things you tell about yourself) Here are a few pics...

Martina McBride & Little Big Town!!!

We had an awesome night last night!! As you can see from the title, we got to go to the Little Big Town/Martina McBride concert! It was AMAZING!! They put on a great show! I would love to see Martina everytime she comes to OKC. Our seats were floor seats, which was great, but the only thing I'm disappointed about was my pictures. With all the random lighting in the arena, it was hard to get any clear pictures, but here is some proof that we were really there!!!

My sister and bro-in-law got seats right behind us which made it entertaining as well! Here are some autographed souveniers and t-shirt we got from the concert...

It's been a while

Well, sorry it has been a few days since I have posted anything. Life has been busy these last few days. Monday I went to the chiropractor for my back and that went well. He also did some treatment on my wrist that I fell on since it has been bothering me. He said he thinks I did some damage to some ligaments, so he did some laser treatment which has seemed to help. Then Tuesday and tonight we have been babysitting at the church. Our bible class is in charge of a VBS at the inner-city church in Oklahoma City, so we are babysitting the kids in our class. We have had fun getting to know them better! Well, tomorrow night is an exciting night, so stay tuned and I will post soon and hopefully have some pics!!! My bed is calling me, so I shall be polite and answer!!! Until next time...

Well, the relaxing day finally came!!! We started by getting up around 10 a.m., that's right! I actually slept in today!! We then went to Corban's 2nd b-day party which was Thomas the Train and had lots of fun!! Here are some pictures...

After the b-day party, we came home to relax for a while, and then we were off to see the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz play some football! We really didn't know what to expect, but we actually had a really fun time and are thinking about tickets for next season. We got to sit 5 rows up from the field at the end zone, so we were right there in all the action. One lesson I did learn is that if we have any boys in the future, football will only be something we watch, not play!! One guy got hit so hard I swore I saw birds flying above his head when he got up! His helmet literally flew 10 feet when he got hit! We want to say thanks to Kevin and his wife (Luke works with Kevin) for the tickets! We had such a great time!!! Here are some pics from the game...

Even though I only had to work 2 days, I'm so ready for the weekend. I felt like I needed another vacation after taking the first part of this week off to actually enjoy a couple of days off!! My thumb/wrist is feeling better, it gets a little sore towards the end of the day just because I am using them more now at work. Well, I've been so proud of myself for keeping up with this blog thing so far! I can't let myself or my readers down now!! Tomorrow is going to be a busy, fun filled day. We're going to Corban's b-day party in the morning, and then we got free tickets to go see the Yard Dawgs (arena football) play tomorrow night. I have never been to an arena football game before, so this will be interesting to say the least!!! Personally I don't know who would ever call their football team the Yard Dawgs, but who asked me?!!! So, I will have some pics up sometime of our eventful day!!! Oh, speaking of pics...there are some new pictures in my link of last weekends campout/in with my family. We were suppose to go the lake to camp, but with all the rain, it ended up at my parents house, so enjoy!!! Well, we are off for the night, not sure what we're doing, but something fun!! Last night, Luke found a little bird in our backyard. As I got closer I realized that one of his wings looked broken. I put some gloves on and picked him up. I lightly tossed him in the air, but he just came tumbling down. So now we are watching him, and Luke is even trying to feed him worms. Here are a couple of pics of our new lil pal!

Well, I got up this morning and went to the dr. Good news, it's not broken, bad news it will only take time to heal. I have pulled and possible tore my muscles and tissue of my thumb. That's why it hurts when I use it. So, doc said to keep icing it and taking an anti-inflammatory and it will get better over time.

On to the jeep...Luke went to get a new tire on the jeep since it had a flat and he found out that @ Firestone they did not have the right size of tire since our tires were Goodyear before, so we would have to buy all 4 tires for $300 or go down the street to Goodyear and get 1 tire for $200. Now let's do the math here....therefore, we have 4 brand spankin new tires on our jeep! And after he was done there, he came home to meet the guy for the new windshield. So now our jeep looks pretty new now!!! Not excited about the total amount we had to spend on everything, but it's new!!!

Bad Start

Well, today is my first day of vacation and it did not go as planned. It all started this morning when I went out into the garage to get something out of the car and as I stepped down to move toward the light switch, I forgot that a huge plastic tub had been placed between me and the light switch 3 feet away. Therefore, I hit the tub, fell over the tub landing on my wrist/thumb and hip, hitting my face against the side of the tub and my leg scraping all the way down the tub onto the floor where I finished just to the side of the car. Now I have a nice goose egg on my shin, a bruise right below my left jaw and a bruised and possibly broken left thumb. I called the dr. to get in today but he had no openings until tomorrow morning, so he said I could come then or go to the ER. Well, I know if I go to the ER it will cost the arm and leg that I hurt plus sitting there for who knows how long, so I am just toughening it out for the day. I can move my thumb, it just hurts when I do and if pressure is applied. I have broken my right hand before not knowing since I could move it, so I don't want to just let it be incase it is broken. So... that is how the day started.

Then, as Luke and I were traveling down the interstate, a huge dump truck hawling rocks decided to throw one of its rocks at us and busted our windshield. So now we have a guy coming out tomorrow to give us a new windshield.

Now doesn't that sound like a great relaxing vacation!! Well, I'm off to start some supper or I may just call and order in food to finish off this stressful day!!! Until next time....

Let's Try This Again!

Well, I tried this once a while back, but only after 2 posts it sort of went down hill. I will try to do a lot better this time!

Well, life has been crazy busy around here with work and doing things here around the house. It seems like the to do list never ends. As soon as we mark one thing off, another thing is put on. We finally got our yard to actally look like a yard instead of a huge mud pit. We also did some landscaping with the flower beds and also around our pool with river rocks so we won't track dirt into the pool. I will post some pictures later since they aren't on this computer.

Well, lately I have felt like Noah's wife with all of this rain. I think this is the 19th day in a row that we have had rain. Not just sprinkle here and there, but pouring down rain. I'm thinking I might need to start getting some wood together to build a boat! I really wouldn't mind all of this rain, but it's just that as soon as we got our pool up and running it started raining and hasn't stopped. We have had to drain our pool twice so it won't overflow and try to keep the water more blue than green!

Well, now that I have made a good start, I don't want to bore all of you, so I will go now. Until next time...
